| Sr. Process / Applications Engineer
Responsibilities include :
* Work with cross functional teams to drive experiments and present results.
* Co-ordinate and drive joint development activities with external development partners.
* Participate in defining customer demo requirements to ensure positive competitive positioning of VSEA products and reviews demo results.
* Interact with customers presenting new applications and discuss demonstrated data.
* Use DOE techniques to develop experiments and perform statistical data analysis.
* Design, develop, execute, and report on process projects.
* Publish research results in papers and present at conferences.
* Perform background research in new materials and technologies.
Requires a minimum of 3-5 years related experience (preferably in a semiconductor or related industry) and a Ph.D. in Chemical Eng. Electrical Eng., Chemistry, Physics, Physical Chemistry, Applied Physics or Material Science. Additional working experience in an adjacent industry such as photovoltaics, energy storage, MEMS, bio-medical instruments etc is a big plus.
The ideal candidate would also have a fundamental understanding of semiconductor physics and microelectronic materials. A good understanding of materials and their inherent properties is essential so as to enable the candidate in being a hands-on experimentalist. Experience in semiconductor process integration, device fabrication and IC manufacture is desired. A demonstrated ability to have defined and managed experimental projects and the process to systematically track progress is very essential. |
