| VSEA is seeking an energetic, self-driven scientist with strong experimental plasma technology background in micro/nano-technology applications to join its research and development team in Gloucester MA. You will be part of a multifunctional work environment, in charge of investigation of exploratory R&D programs for high demand market applications, with focus on sustaining competitive advantages with quick time to market, IP generation and building strategic relationships with customers/research centers. You will have the opportunity to develop novel applications and approaches for plasma based technology in various fields. Your work will be involved in all aspect of VSEA R&D (wet chemistry, thin film, etching, thermal, plasma processing, material characterization, transport and wafer interactions as they occur in state of the art equipment).
Responsibility:
The ideal candidate will be a multitasking independent worker with project management skill that can define problems and objectives, design and conduct independent experiments or tests, analyze results and provide recommendations for multiple projects to costumer and managers.
· Responsible for designing and conducting experiments to develop doping/ implant/ material modification processes for micro and nano-technology
· Familiar with material analysis metrology (SIMS, XRD, Ellipsometry, AFM, SEM, TEM, XPS, Auger)
· Demonstrated abilities in project management, leadership of multi-disciplinary teams, hardware design, experimentation and equipment development are essential.
· Hands-on experience with advanced process development, qualification, sustaining and troubleshooting of plasma processes and tool in CMOS technology
· Generate technical report and presentations
· Responsible for making presentations at national/international conference and costumers
· Willingness to travel up to 25%, both domestically and internationally
Education/Experience:
Ph.D. in Physics, Material Science, Chemistry or Eng. with experience in any or all of the following technologies: plasma processing, vacuum, wet chemistry, thermal, and surface chemistry.
Previous experience in plasma technology is required.
College graduates are encouraged to apply.
Must have strong communication (verbal, written and presentation skills)
This position involves access to export controlled technology which is subject to U.S. Department of Commerce export control regulations. Otherwise qualified candidates must meet these export control requirements or a deemed export license from the Commerce Department before a final job offer can be extended. |
