| Principal Scientist - Mechanical
You will be responsible for defining, implementing and verifying system and/or sub-system level design enhancements for our established product line of ion implanters. You will be responsible for prioritizing new design concepts and working independently to resolve all issues associated with taking a design project from initial definition through system verification to manufacturing.
Requirements include an advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Engineering or related field (Mechanical Engineering or Materials Engineering could qualify) with a minimum of 10-15 years of work experience. Must have “hands-on” experience with several of the following tools: PMAC, Solid Modeling (ProE), LabView, DataQ, Matlab, Excel, Viewlogic, ProEngineer.
Excellent problem solving skills and execution of schedules are keys to this position. You must be able to give technical direction, supervise multiple design project tasks and have the maturity to make decisions on specifications design and analysis. You must have design and test experience in any combination of the following: motion control and mechanisms, wafer handling and materials. Should be able to comfortably perform thermal, stress/strain, and vacuum analysis. Travel: 15% (Domestic and overseas).
