| Varian Semiconductor Equipment Associates seeks a highly motivated, experienced Business Process Solutions Analyst with SAP experience to join the IT Applications team. The right candidate will be the user’s primary contact person for PP and WM enhancements, issues and questions and will also have the opportunity to lead projects. ***Please note this is a functional (configuration) position***
The skills required are:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT or Computer Science.
- At least 5 years’ experience with SAP PP (including Variant Configurator) and WM configuration, including at least 2 implementations or upgrades.
- Should have strong project management and lead experience in an IT group and work well with business functional members.
- Strong SAP configuration and design skills required.
- Must have a good understanding of Production Planning, production control and product costing
- MM, SD, FI/CO,related experience a plus.
- Experience working with a BI tool (not necessarily SAP's) a plus.
- Experience supporting integrations between SAP and 3rd party apps (e.g. MCA SPO, Kinaxis Rapid Response, Lotus Notes) a plus.
- SAP ECC 6.0 experience desired.
- Experience in a high technology manufacturing environment (with make to order/make to stock).
- Experience with EDI / RosettaNet a plus.
- Strong customer service orientation is required, and candidate must be highly self-motivated and directed with a keen attention to detail.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing assigned SAP configuration enhancements, issue resolution, and system direction for overall user satisfaction. This position assumes shared IT ownership for select SAP modules and business functional areas/processes and will be responsible for ensuring that user’s needs are met and that integration issues with other modules are resolved. Additionally, this position will have production support responsibilities for assigned SAP configurations.
- Supporting the Manufacturing and Supply Chain departments. Working with users to define key IT objectives, define solutions to operational issues, and implement approved objectives. Will involve leading projects and managing team/business resources.
- Involvement in new implementations including analysis, design, configuration, documentation and training.
- Documentation of configuration and preparation of training materials as necessary. May be required to deliver training.
- Travel requirement is less than 5%.
