Scientist - Ion Beam and Plasma Modeling Physicist
In this position, you will work on a team of scientists and R & D engineers to design, develop, and implement AMAT’s established and next generation ion implanters. Modeling is currently done with a combination of commercial software (for example, ANSYS, OPERA) and programs developed in-house. Knowledge of FORTRAN, C, C++, and general computational techniques is helpful.
Prefer experience in ion beam or plasma studies or practical experience in the implantation side of semiconductor device production. Experience in magnet design, ion beam optics, or plasma modeling is desired. Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time and work as part of a cross-functional team is critical.
Ph.D. in Physics, Engineering, or related field is required.
