| This position is for a Sr. Commodity Specialist with a strong background in OEM management, reporting to the Sr. Supply Chain Manager. This person will be primarily responsible for setting and implementing strategies around the management of OEM suppliers. In addition, the successful candidate must be skilled in negotiations for the purpose of securing significant savings and in managing supplier relationships across all levels. This position also requires knowledge and experience with offshore sourcing, outsourcing assemblies, and supporting new product introductions. The ideal candidate will have some supervisory or management experience. Travel will be required, 50% for the first 6 months, 10-20% thereafter.
QUALIFICATIONS:
4-year degree or equivalent preferred, engineering experience, manufacturing job shop experience a plus
7-10 years of procurement experience
SAP experience a plus, ERP system knowledge a plus
Semi-conductor a plus
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Strong negotiating skills
Strong use of Excel/Word or comparable spreadsheet/word processing software
Strong focus on providing customer service
Strong management and people skills
